The Torah portion Ekev illuminates the traditional notion of "reward and punishment," that the good people get rewarded and the bad people get punished. Rabbi Kipnes and Cantor Cotler explore ancient, modern and feminist commentaries which challenge the veracity of this theology. Together we consider alternative ways of understanding human responsibility in a world birthed by the Source of Life.
